Some people use a 4x4 to tow a caravan, but not Volkswagen. No siree. It seems that this VW is going on holiday with a Boeing 747 in tow.
This impressive picture was taken at Dunsfold Aerodrome, where a V10 VW Touareg TDI made several successful attempts at lugging the Boeing's 155 tonne carcass up and down one of its runways.
To prepare the Touareg, it was loaded with 4.3 tonnes of extra weight to increase grip, and fitted with a special aircraft towing link, something you're unlikely to find down the local Halfords.
We're thinking of reconstructing the event for our Stuff.tv vidcast, using a radio controlled car and a shopping trolly ridden by our very own Editor, Frazz. Stay tuned...
