Yes, it’s those fateful words again – ‘free broadband’, this time courtesy of those legendary philanthropists at Virgin Mobile.

As wily Stuffers will have sussed, the deal doesn’t mean Virgin will be staying completely clear of your coffers. The 12-month broadband package is available to any new customers who sign up for its monthly SIM-only service and spend £15 or £30 per month.

The SIM-only stipulation means you’ll be stuck with the handset you’re using now, but the deal still compares favourably with Orange’s similar effort – you get 8Mb speeds, a generous 6GB download allowance and a free modem.

The whole thing is clearly a stop-gap before its parent company NTL unleashes its full ‘four play’ shebang later this year – the deal will end on 31st October.

If you’d rather hang on for this trailblazing TV, broadband, mobile and landline calls offer, the link below will fill you in on the details.
