The channels include Living, FX, MTV Networks International and National Geographic, with the first one set to launch sometime this month.
It will be Living's first move into HD territory, offering up shows like CSI, Ghost Whisperer and the Next Top Model franchise, while MTV's HD channel MTVNHD, will be dedicated to music and kids programmes.
This means you'll get music-based shows and live events alongside Nickelodeon content on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Virgin has also announced it is currently in talks with UKTV about getting a Good Food HD channel, which if agreed would join this four, the BBC HD channel and over 300 hours of on demand HD content currently available on the service.
We'll keep you updated with any news on dates or new additions to Virgin's HD offering. In the meantime be sure to leave us a comment about what you think to this move below.
