O2 got tongues wagging earlier today when it added a UK video calling price to its iPhone tariff, making some believe it could be a nod towards what we can expect from the next iPhone.
However, O2 has piped up in an attempt to stop the rumour mill grinding out of control, by confirming it was an error that will be corrected shortly.
A statement read: "The iPhone section of our website states video calling is charged at the same price as voice calls. We can confirm that this was listed in error. We will be amending our website shortly to clarify this.”
In fact, it seems the video calling option was added across all of the company’s Simplicity tariffs on the website, so it seems someone behind the scenes got a little slapdash with the specs.
We found it a little hard to believe the new iPhone would come with a front facing camera – not even Apple could bring back video calling, could it?
