Venzero stick promises to save your life

Makers of USB sticks are always trying to stress the disasters that could befall people who don’t back up their computers – what if a pyromaniac badger breaks into your house and sets fire to your PC? – and Venzero has gloomily stressed that ‘your turn could come tomorrow’. What you need, it reckons, is its new LifeSaver.

We certainly wouldn’t be averse to having the little black box in our top pocket. It holds and impressive 8GB of data and, like Sony’s Micro Vault range, has ‘mobile desktop’ functionality which will carry all your internet favourites and browsers of choice so you can carry them round with you.

This means you can plug it into other people’s computers and colonise it with all your familiar applications and settings. In true spy fashion, all of your imported favourites will immediately disappear once you pull the stick out of your mate/business foe’s PC.

The LifeSaver’s not quite as exciting as the company’s One players (see link below), which can tell you what song’s playing on the radio, but they’d make a nice colour-coordinated pair if you need both gadgets.
