Most MP3 players tend to crash and burn when doused with water, as this former iPod Touch owner can attest. But not the Nu Dolphins – this waterproof range love nothing better than a trip to the swimming pool, and the Nu Dolphin Touch is the latest model.
As the name suggests, the main innovation is that its buttons are now touch sensitive. It's a slightly odd decision – water, as you may have experienced, tends to make things quite slippery, and we fear our attempt to skip through our swimming-themed playlist will only result in our digits sliding all over its tiny fascia.
Still, at least there's a screen to help, albeit one so small Morph would have trouble making out the icons. The real test of a waterproof MP3 player, though, is how well the headphones fit, and here the Nu Dolphin Touch looks promising with a selection of three buds in the box – as you can see in the pic below there are mini trumpet-, bullet- and screw-shaped buds to choose from.
Now, if you'll excuse us, we're off to jump in the Thames so we can bring you a full review.
