Nintendo has just dropped full details on the imminent launch of Wii Software here in Blighty on May 20.
Eight titles will be up for grabs, differing a bit to the games US punters got their mits on yesterday when WiiWare (as it’s called in good ol’ Uncle US of Stateside) launched.
These include Dr. Mario & Germ Buster, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King, Lost Winds, Pirates: The Key of Dreams, Pop, Star Soldier R, Toki Tori and TV Show King.
Star Soldier R was part of the Japanese launch and is rumoured to be hard as nails, not to mention damn good. Pirates: The Key of Dreams has also caught our gaming eye. Okay, the title sucks, but the premise of a bizarre Caribbean shoot ‘em up sounds awesome.
Games should cost the same 500 points as in the States, which is hardly going to harm your bank balance, is it? Ninty is hoping the platform for new developers will help it kick Microsoft’s Xbox Live Arcade into touch. Let’s wait and see shall we. Let us know what you think in the comments section.
