When we fired up our iTunes this morning for a blast of the latest Beastie Boys album we were met with a pleasant surprise in the Store. With barely more than a whisper, Apple has added TV shows to the UK download den. We’ve been waiting for months to get our mitts on the same kind of telly content that our Yank compatriots are free to feed on daily and by the looks of the 28 shows on offer it’s very much a US-centric selection. The first three series of Lost, a stack of South Park and Grey’s Anatomy are the highlights while a lot of the initial content seems to be aimed at those not yet old enough for a pint of lager. Roll on next Wednesday.Essentials iTunes TV downloads Price: £1.89 each On sale: Now Contact: iTunes Related stories: iTunes Plus opens for DRM-free business iTunes videos to get European premiere Three billion iTunes and counting
