First there's the excitement of opening it up. Then the joys of wirelessly hooking up to another machine's DVD drive. Next, slipping it into a crisp new manila envelope.
All wonderful activities, but eventually the excitement starts to wane. After all, it's been three weeks. What your MacBook Air needs now is a whole new paint job – and Colorware will oblige.
It's offering to coat any MacBook Air in one of 15 solid colours or 20 metallic shades, including Cobalt (pictured) or Envy (that'll be metallic green).
You'll have to ship your precious lappy off to them in the States (now where did we put that manila envelope?), but Colorware promise to return it complete with new colour-way and X2 liquid plastic protective coating to keep it looking spick.
The service doesn't come cheap though, with new colours starting at $500 (£257) plus shipping. Maybe we'll just use some stickers for now.
