The MSI Wind was quick out of the blocks after Asus unveiled the original Eee PC. And now MSI's Andy Ting has said the company will be showing off a spanking new model of the Wind with a full touchscreen.

The move is a direct riposte to Asus, which has already said it will follow the success of the touchy feely Eee Top with a multitouch Eee PC in 2009. What the Wind will look and feel like remains to be seen, but you can bet it won't be much of a leap from what we're already used to – plastic white bod', 10in screen and an Intel Atom under the hood.

Obviously, we'll be making a beeline for the MSI stand as soon as we get our feet on the grand in Vegas in January. And remember you can follow everything to do with CES right here on our dedicated blog.
