You’ve been asking for them for ages, we’ve been chiding telly makers for yonks and – finally – it looks like the message has got through: we want more HDMI sockets.
Toshiba is the knight on the white horse, and its horse is known variously as the 32WLT68, 37WLT68 for the 37in pedigree and 42WLT68 for the monster 42in breed. The LCD’s specs are respectable, with a Freeview tuner, HD-ready screen and component video so you can plug in the reactionary Xbox 360.
That trio of HDMI ports are, however, what has us warming up the Lazyboy and chilling the mass-manufactured Irish cider. Instead of having to keep reaching behind the back of the screen to swap cables over, you’ll be able to plug a PS3, Sky HD box and HDMI DVD player in simultaneously.
In short, it’s time to cancel that Sony Bravia order before it’s too late.
