Teac hi-fi has hi-tech feature

Can you spot the cool feature on this Teac hi-fi? It’s to do with digital music. Think you know what it is? Click through to the main story to see if you were right…

Yes, you spotted it: the Teac CR-H255 hi-fi has a USB port, so you can plug in an MP3 player, and play the music through just like an external source. More exciting, though, is that record button. Our scant press release seems to suggest that hitting that while listening to FM radio, DAB, CD or an Aux source, will send the audio back down the USB connection for recording. Presumably to do so you’ll need an encoding MP3 player with a line-in, but the whole idea is very intriguing.

Elsewhere, the Teac is as attractive and well built as other components from their Reference range, so we wouldn’t be surprised if it was a five-star performer too. Soon as we get our ears round one, we’ll let you know.

Meanwhile, there isn’t yet, but soon will be, more information on the CR-H255 here.
