The ultimate replacement for your old CRT box telly and VCR has arrived - a 40in LCD that can record shows straight on to a built-in hard drive.Anyone picking up Humax's LGB-40TPVR - not literally, 30kg is a two man job - should also have plenty to watch as it has two built-in digital TV tuners. That means the delights of the Mighty Boosh, the Rubbadubbers on CBeebies and extra lashings of Six Feet Under. The hard drive's only a 40GB job, so you're limited to around 30 hours of recordings. We can forgive that, though, as the telly's capable of recording two channels simultaneously and playing back shows that you recorded earlier. There are two other reasons you should take a gander at Humax's LCD. The first is that it's future-proofed with a resolution and DVI socket (plus a HDMI adapter) that make it fully ready for when Sky and Telewest shortly switch on high definition broadcasts. Second is the price - £2100 for a 40in telly with a PVR is scandalously good value. The LGB-40TPVR is on sale from today.Related stories:Canon reinvents the TVLG's high-def home cinema
