What's the camera for this summer?
When I'm thinking about decent holiday cameras, I usually turn to the Olympus waterproof range - the latest is the Olympus Mju 1030 SW (£250 - you can read our full review of the Mju 1030 SW here). It's 10.1 megapixel, has a nice wide-angle lens and, most crucially, is built to withstand water, shocks and sand.
But still pictures are so 20th Century, darling - so this year I'm going to take a cheap
videocamera with me too. There's been a lot of buzz in America about
a cheap vidcam called The Flip, but we reckon the Creative Vado (£80) is
better (you can read our Creative Vado review to find out why). Both cost less than £100, are about the size of a mobile phone
and allow you to capture decent quality video to memory. But what makes
them really special is that they have built-in USB connections and
on-board software that allows you to plug them into a PC and
immediately upload to YouTube or VideoJug. Which means you can share your holiday videos while you're still on holiday - so it's the perfect way to make
