But today it’s been confirmed that Super Monkey Ball is a rampant success on Apple’s App store, shifting a massive 300,000 copies in just 20 days.But this isn’t just a tale of Sega making a mint from their share of the weighty £5.99 price tag. The question is whether this is a sign of things to come in handheld gaming.See, you can’t preview titles from the App store on your iPhone or iPod Touch, you have to buy them on spec. Meaning people are pretty enamoured with this game in particular, and not fussed about giving it a try first.So, does this mean the iPhone (and the Touch), are set to overtake the likes of the Nintendo DS and PSP, as some analysts have predicted?
