O2 prepares for 4G and Facebook Home flirts with iPhone, in today's news round-up

Facebook Home coming to iPhone?

Following its launch on the HTC First, Facebook Home could be landing on the iPhone – the all-pervasive social network has been in talks with Apple about bringing its new software to the iOS platform. eJay Pure's Kickstarter campaign has reached £20,000 in funding – and to celebrate, the iPhone music app is giving away 100 free samples to anyone who pledges funds today.

Mophie Juice Pack Air arrives for iPhone 5

iPhone 5 running out of oomph? If you don't mind wrapping its svelte frame in a battery case, the Mophie Juice Pack Air has come to the rescue. Available from 18th April, priced £90, it claims to double your battery life for a slight boost in bulk.

EE may have had a year's head start with its 4G coverage, but the competition isn't going to take things lying down. O2 has revealed that its 4G roll-out will be "very accelerated" and "mind-blowingly aggressive." Office Cat's idea of mind-blowing aggression involves a welter of claws and teeth directed at the luckless subordinate who's disappointed him – he suspects that O2's 4G expansion will not be quite as violent.
