Stuff Office Cat’s Diary – 13/02/2013

Office Cat takes in the day's news so far, from cheap Windows 8 phones to crimson-tinged tablets

It’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow, which apparently holds some kind of significance for humans. You give “love-themed” gifts for your other halves, and what could represent the depths of your affection more than a pretty run-of-the-mill tablet in a new red colour scheme? Yes, Samsung has given the 4G-equipped edition of the Galaxy Note 10.1 a lick of crimson paint and stuck it in the shops in South Korea (although it will apparently be making its way to other regions soon). In terms of presents, though, Office Cat has always found that a dead bird or mouse left on the doormat does the trick. And it’s much cheaper.

Bungie’s next game, currently known as Destiny, will be properly revealed on 17th February. The game is expected to be a timed exclusive for the next-gen Xbox console, and from what leaks have hinted at so far will be a massively multiplayer online shooter. Office Cat is jazzed, pumped and stoked to learn more.
