Nikon packs DSLR sensor into Coolpix A compact

Nikon has taken the wraps off its new Coolpix A compact camera – cramming in a 16.2MP DX-format CMOS sensor alongside the Expeed 2 image processing engine found in its D7000 DSLR. The Coolpix A also features an optical viewfinder, a NIKKOR fixed 28mm f/2.8 lens and Wi-Fi compatibility. Perfect for budding Cartier-Bressons, though a little pricey at £1000.
