Stuff Office Cat’s Diary – 04/03/13
Game of Thrones food, film releases on the Xbox 360, a march of Android lovers, and wireless speakers all make it onto Office Cat's list today

Game of Thrones food truck
Brace yourselves, Londoners – grub is coming, in the form of the Game of Thrones food truck. It’ll be driving around town bringing you the classic dishes of Westeros, from saffron and nutmeg buns to wild boar cured sausage and mustard preserved fruits. Get thee to yonder truck thusly:
1pm – 2pm: Whitfield Street, Goodge Street
2.30pm – 3pm: Monmouth Street, Covent Garden
3.15pm – 3.45pm: Broadwick Street, Soho
5pm – 5.30pm: Finsbury Circus, Liverpool Street
Android fans, you’re being called out. After the success of GlasDroid, when Glasgow housed a meeting of Android lovers, another event is incoming on March 9th. This time the venue will be Manchester at MadLab. Your £10 entry fee will get your food, drink, and if there’s leftover money, some freebies. But the main thing is meeting up with like-minded folk.

Film premieres on Xbox 360
An independent British film called Pulp will be released on Xbox 360 today, sidestepping a conventional cinema and DVD release. Creator Adam Hamdy says it’s harder for low budget films to find distribution these days and using a console is a great option. With Netflix and the BBC premiering TV shows online, and now films making their way to games consoles before the cinema, Office Cat is starting to wonder if this is the end for solid-state media.

Ruark MR1 wirless
Office Cat, a discerning music lover and self-confessed neat freak, loves the idea of good quality speakers without the messy wires. Ruark Audio’s MR1 offers Bluetooth and aptX lossless technology to stream crystal clear audio from most devices. And they look gorgeous. Not bad for £300.
