We can't take it any more. We've had to sit on news of O2's new 3G mobile for days but now we can finally reveal it in all its shapely, clamshell glory.Dubbed the O2 Cocoon, it sports a seemingly opaque white exterior that lights up to reveal an extremely funky LED display (pictured), good for displaying the time and caller ID in glowing green type. Drop it in its dock and the Morphy Richards-style digits will also double as a bedside FM radio alarm clock, or even a mini stereo system if you utilise the dock’s 3.5mm socket. Also on the O2 Cocoon's outside are controls for the built in MP3 player, with a stonking 2GB of built-in storage that can be doubled to 4GB using the Micro SD slot. We're also pleased to note that it'll handle our new DRM-free AAC iTunes Plus downloads. Bluetooth Audio ensures compatibility with wire-free cans, or you can plug in a standard set via the 3.5mm-equipped remote. Last but by no means least, the 2MP camera gets autofocus and a flash.Alas, you won't be able to get your hands on one before August.
