After Asus dropped the info on the WiMAX-packing Eee PC 901 a day early, Stuff can exclusively reveal that the 901 will be launched in July.

So only a month until we get our hands on the dinky machine that could finally make long distance Wi-Fi a reality.

The Eee PC 901 will also have an Intel Atom processor, a lower-power chip for mobile computers that’s getting processor Poindexters hot under the collar as well as Bluetooth and standard Wi-Fi.

The successor to the Eee PC 900, will also be available in a 12GB XP edition and a more generous 20GB Linux version.

And on top of that, Asus are bringing us details of the 10in 1001 series and cutting the price of the 701 and 900 models. Now you’re really spoiling us, Asus.

But it’s the Eee PC 901’s next-gen wireless that’s really got us Stuffers excited. Makes us wonder about the possibility of a WiMAX 3G iPhone?
