It’s fair to say that, with its price tag of $25 million, you’ll never own a Blackbird bomber. The dream needn’t end there, though – this watch will more than compensate.
Judging by its statement that it was inspired by ‘deep space, powerful rockets and sleek jets’ it’s possible that Urwerk got a little carried away with the Blackbird 103, but we’re happy to let it indulge itself when the results are this good.
It’ll probably be filed in the ‘watches that make it really hard to tell the time’ category, but we’re rather fond of its platinum coating and yellow numbers, which emit a blue glow in the dark.
The Blackbird 103 is coated in the highly scientific-sounding Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PE-CVD), which apparently makes it highly scratch resistant. It’s also ridiculously limited edition – only 10 have been made. It’s too top secret to have an official price but you know the saying, if you need to ask…
