Diligent tech types may well remember a nifty device called Sonos launched at CES back in January. We didn't dare hope to see it surface in the UK, but the gadget gods have smiled upon us once again. It's the best wireless multiroom system in the world, easy-peasy. A rather reasonable £900 buys two ZonePlayers and the brilliant wireless handheld controller, which has an impressive colour LCD and intuitive iPod-style clickwheel control system. ZonePlayers feature 50W stereo amps and firmware-upgradeable electronics that will already decode MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV and Ogg Vorbis formats, and look rather fetching in their Mac Mini-style livery. There's no built-in storage, but the wireless tech in the handset and ZonePlayers does an amazing job of sucking music off every storage device on your network. We like it. Very much indeed, in fact. For more detail, head in the direction of the Sonos homepage or the UK's first approved Sonos dealer, simplysonos. Then buy the August issue of Stuff for the full lowdown.
