Sony Xperia S hits the UK in March, and Phones 4U has the white variant

Want the first Sony-branded smartphone in a pearly hue? You'll have to go to Phones 4U. Ooh, that rhymes

If our hands-on with the Sony Xperia S has you itching to get your hands on the first Sony-branded smartphone, you'll be happy to hear that it's available in the UK from March.

And if you want to pick the white variant edition, you'll have to go to Phones 4U – the retailer has bagged the pearly-hued version of the Xperia S as a UK exclusive.

The Xperia S will arrive rocking Android 2.3 Gingerbread, with an Ice Cream Sandwich update in the offing. It's also kitted out with a 12MP camera, a 4.3in display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and a 1.5 GHz processor under the hood.

Pricing has yet to be confirmed, but we'll bring you the details as soon as they're available.
