Sony has spurred us to create new headline lows with its two new digital printers, one of which sports a lovely 2in colour LCD.
The DPP-F55 (above) is by far the most sophisticated of the two, with direct printing from SD and Memory Stick Duo cards and that great colour screen, which lets you preview your snaps.
It claims to be something of a speed demon with a PB of 63 seconds for the printing of high-resolution shots, and there are also plenty of editing options – including a button for printing calendars – on board.
Smaller, lighter, cheaper, but a lot more basic is its cousin, the DPP–FP35. It doesn’t have any of the LCD or memory card slot extras, but does hook up to your digicam directly via USB and Pictbridge.
Both printers will be out in July – we’re just confirming the prices, and will update this story soon.
