With UMD movie discs currently languishing in the bargain bin of failed ideas Sony's come up with a new way to get video onto your PSP.It’s announced a deal to bring Sky TV to the portable's widescreen from next year. It'll be an on-demand type affair in the same vein as the current Sky Anytime PC affair with shows downloadable directly over Wi-Fi or via a computer. If Sky Anytime is anything to go by we can expect a mix of sport and big name shows including Lost, Weeds and Bones (pictured), plus Sky Box Office Movies. All that a tight-lipped Sony is promising so far though is that it'll offer ‘a wealth’ of film and video. Sounds suitably vague. We'll have more deets come the Leipzig Games Conference on 22 August – including, hopefully, how much the downloads will set us back.EssentialsSky AnytimeContact: SkyRelated stories:Sky eyes your Media Center PCSky+ minus subscription equals freeSky Anytime travels to your telly
