Sony plans new Reader to battle Amazon Kindle

 The Japanese tech giant plans to unleash a new contestant into the ebook reader arena 

Sony has confirmed it will release an updated Sony Reader in August – a month before its eagerly anticipated S1 and S2 tablets hit the techosphere. The hardware and software upgrade to their current digital book reader will be a bid to stem the onslaught of Amazon’s dominating Kindle which has successfully invaded the hands of thousands of bookworms. No specs, photos or any other solid pieces of info on the new ereader have been revealed, but we’ll keep a bookmark on this snippet of news and get back to you when we find out more.
