Colourful laptops are all the rage. First Alienware gave its latest spawnings a good respray, now Sony's giving its Vaios a new paint job. So if black, grey or silver doesn't float your boat you can now opt for shocking pink or a particularly thermo-nuclear neon green.Sony's designed them to be ‘stylish’ but there's some substance behind their metallic interiors and colour coordinated accents. A 1.66GHz Core 2 Duo processor and 1GB of RAM gives it plenty of power and there's a generous 100GB or 120GB hard-disk. The Nvidia GeForce Go 7400 graphics won't rival Alienware's hardcore systems but will cope with gaming – if you don't mind squinting at the dinky 13.3-inch widescreen.
