Sony’s new 8MP DSC-T2 packs a whole 4GB in on-board memory – more than enough for any snap-happy gadgeteer. The 4GB will fit around 1664 full-size photos. But if they call you ‘Mr Snappy’ down the photography club you can always top the storage up using the Memory Stick Duo slot.Thankfully there's still room for some top-notch features including a 3x optical zoom, a nifty touchscreen LCD and Sony's Super Steady Shot optical IS for shake-free snaps. There's also a high ISO 3200 for low-light photography and face detection – which can be combined with the touchscreen to pick out which faces need making pin sharp, and which photo crashing randoms should be left blurry. But that’s not all. An optional HDMI cradle will hook it up to your HD telly to view shots in lush hi-def and there's also software for speedily uploading your work to photo sharing sites like Flickr. Phew! It's out in November in blue, green, pink, white and black – add green, yellow and red and we'd have the full snooker set.EssentialsSony CyberShot DSC-T2Price: £TBA ($350 in US)On sale: NovemberContact: SonyRelated stories:12MP Pentax A40 is ‘Head and Shoulders’ above the restBenQ's super slim T800 piles on the pixelsGadget of the Day: Vivitar 7500i Limited Edition
