Damn you Sony. First you waft details of your first ever Euro bound Blu-ray spinner, then you forget to mention how much it'll cost, or when it's going to be out.Lucky for us our moles have been doing some digging and have discovered a likely price tag of a cool £1000 and a launch date around May.While we await confirmation of that, we do have some tasty specs to chew over. First up it'll handle full 1080p output, including upscaling of bog standard DVDs. Film directors will be pleased to learn it also supports 24p True Cinema, matching the authentic speed and pitch of the cinematic original.Surround sound set-ups aren't forgotten either with up to eight channels of linear PCM digital audio output sent uncompressed via HDMI and Dolby Digital Plus on board. If that doesn't float your hi-def boat, don't fret; Sony says its European Blu-ray family will be swelling over 'the coming months'. We await those, and their prices, with interest.
