Laptop owners have already been gatecrashing the Super 3G party thanks to Vodafone’s data cards, but now Sony’s sent out an invite in the form of this new Vaio. Thanks to a little help from T-Mobile, the SZ3 promises web surfing speeds of around 3.6Mbps from early 2007, which is nippier than many home broadband connections. If you’re not in the coverage zone, the ExpressCard can revert to normal 3G or, ahem, GPRS.As you can see, it’s not the most flamboyant laptop in Sony’s stable, but there is some power lurking in those business suit pockets, including a Core 2 Duo processor, a 100GB hard drive and 1GB RAM. It also uses the dual graphics card trick, which means you can choose to save juice and shift it into fifth for some gaming action, depending on your mood.
