Mobile telly is still something of a damp squib on these shores. Nokia might have stuck a DVB–H tuner in the soon–to–be–massive N96, but using it in Blighty will be as pointless watching The Hottie and the Nottie on constant repeat for 20 years. Which is why Sling Media’s SlingPlayer holds the key to watching the gogglebox on your commute.  Last week it was rolled out to Sony Ericsson’s smartphones, including the ample–screened P1i. On top of that, it’s heading to the lush N95 8GB and, far more excitingly, according to Electric Pig, the iPhone. The Slingplayer means you can watch live telly, just like DVB H. So the question is, do we really need to embrace the mobile spectrum or just plump for a SlingBox and its on–the–go app? What do you reckon?
