Those gadget fiends at Engadget have sniffed out word that Sony has penned deals with parts people Foxconn and Pegatron to have the new Slim PS3 ready to be shipped in July.
With a PS3 price cut rumoured to be in line for punters as early as August, the new console would certainly make sense. The smaller form factor should mean less harm being done to your wallet, as well as updating that somewhat bulky design.
The end of 2009 is set to be a busy one for Sony, with the new PSP Go primed for launch on 1 October. The handheld, first spotted at E3 last month, is aiming to slapdown the Nintendo DSi and iPhone 3G S. You can see the PSP Go in action in our hands–on video now.
