Sky knows which way the TV wind is blowing. It's already signed up nearly a quarter of a million of us to the premium Sky HD service, and now it's raising the stakes furtherIt's announced that around 90 per cent of future programmes commissioned by Sky One and Sky Arts will be in HD.Given that around half the current shows are US imports, where HD is the norm, this should sort out the homegrown content side, which has been trailing behind in the hi-def stakes. With a possible ITV/BBC HD Freesat offering just around the corner, Sky's keen to make sure it's seen as the home of hi-def before its terrestrial rivals start giving it away. Still, dropping that £10 a month premium wouldn't hurt, would it Sky?
