Skinny Casio sacrifices function for skeletal form

The last place you’ll see this new Casio compact is down at Fat Fighters with Marjorie Dawes. Unlike Little Britain’s own slimming fascist, the EX-S770 is so slight we almost didn’t notice when it was announced yesterday – it’s just half an inch at its thinnest point.

Aside from the skinny frame, there’s little to make it stand out from the compact crowd, with a standard 7.2MP sensor, 2.8in widescreen LCD, anti-shake and 3x optical zoom. It comes in a choice of three colours, and while the rounded stainless steel body does tickle our fancy, it’s not going to win any beauty contests.

One feature we do like the sound of, however, is the gimmicky eBay Best Shot mode. Just one of 35 preset image settings, it apparently optimises images for use on everyone’s favourite online auction site. Now if only we could bring ourselves to sell some of the rubbish we’ve bought instead of just buying more…
