While Sennheiser busies itself with producing the world's best value headphones, Shure likes to take the budget and run with it. So, if the credit card's not taken too much of a beating over Christmas, consider treating your ears to one of these four new sets unwrapped today at CES.Winning no awards for beauty but picking up multiple bonus points for sheer silky sounding smoothness, the four pairs take the audiophile gently up the pecuniary ladder.Starting with the 'budget' SE210 (pictured) you can expect frankly sparkling full-range audio and a super-comfy fit thanks to a newly assembled Deluxe Fit Kit.Not enough? Well try the SE310 which adds enhanced bass, or perhaps the SE420 which kicks in with Dual TruAcoustic MicroSpeakers. Put more plainly, that's a dedicated tweeter and woofer inside of something the size of a pencil rubber. But if you really feel like splurging can we recommend the SE530? Known and loved as the E500, they've been renamed to fit within the new range. They add Triple TruAcoustic MicroSpeakers, for which read 'a dedicated tweeter and dual woofers' (yes, dual), to sort out the troublesome mids from the mid-lows, which, we're sure you'll agree, can be a real pain.Apparently Joss Stone swears by 'em. Give us a multimillion-dollar recording contract and so will we.
