Shazam has long been the service we've used for filling the small gaps in our otherwise expansive music knowledge, and yes, sometimes in a pub quiz too – shhhh!

But while it's quick on the trigger for getting track info, it's a longer process if we want to buy the track in question.

That's why Shazam has teamed up with O2 – now its users will just have to dial 2580 and hold their handset up to the music for a few seconds, then Shazam will text back the track details, along with a link to allow them to buy the track right there and then.

So now you'll be able to own the track almost by the time it's finished playing. Great news if you hate waiting as much as we do...
