Seoul to Soul: Samsung's new slider

Got no soul? Worry not. Samsung's going to give you some with its brand new slider, just launched in Korea ahead of its worldwide debut at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week.

The Soul – or 'Spirit of Ultra' – is a homage to Sammy's line-up of impossibly slim Ultra handsets. It packs in a five-megapixel cam with autofocus and impressive high-end features such as face detection, electronic wobble reduction and 'wide dynamic range' for coping with areas of light and shade.

It's none too shabby at music either, with an FM radio and a Bang & Olufsen ICEpower digital amplifier to belt out tunes. We're also promised a new music library navigation system for flicking through tracks.

HSDPA gets a look-in too, for high-speed web browsing and downloads at up to 7.2Mbps, and there's a snazzy new 'Magical Touch' feature with nav key icons that change depending on function. All this and it's only 12.9mm thick. Makes our N95 look like a right bloater.
