Despite its best attempts, Sanyo's yet to attain the kudos it'd like in the UK. These high design 17 and 23 in LCDs - the CE23LC4-B and CE17LC4-B - could be the tellies to rectify that. They're designed by a French-born Japanese bloke - the eponymous Nicholas - who's done a fine retro curvy job. The only thing we'd change is his monicker - Jean Pierre would make for a far more amusing range name.Anyhow. The specs. Both LCDs have hi-def capable res, though neither has a digital input to take advantage. In their favour, both have 2 RGB Scarts, and the 23 incher has an el rapido response time of 8ms, making it a potentially credible TV for the bedroom console. You can buy a white or silver version of both by the end of June; the prices will be announced at the same time. NB respect to Sanyo for the fantastically gratuitous shot of a woman in a state of undress.
