Sanyo introduces slimmer of the year

Budding Ridley Scotts don’t want to be hindered by camcorders the size of breeze-blocks – they want to be free to roam wherever their creativity takes them, be it down the supermarket or the local curry house.
Thankfully Sanyo’s Xacti range allows you to do just that. The C6 is the latest model taken from its slimline, lightweight line-up that uses a SD card as its storage method as opposed to a conventional tape, recordable DVD or hard disk.
Consequently it’s a supermodel-slim 23mm wide and weighs less than a packet of pixie dust. The C6 boasts MPEG-4, VGA quality recording at 30 frames per second and playback at an impressive 60 fps, complete with AAC-LC sound.
It can also take 6MP still images and is fitted with a 2-inch LCD screen. Used in conjunction with a 1GD SD card you should be able to cram an hour of home movie madness and stage as many You’ve Been Framed stunts as you can muster. Anything for a few quid eh?
The C6 will retail for around £500 and comes in three different finishes: champagne gold, black and red.
