We're still waiting for Samsung's Series 60 debut, the i520, to appear 'sometime' this quarter, now a follow-up's been announced. The i400 looks like an even sleeker slider, and a definite aesthetic improvement on the i320, sporting Nokia's latest S60 build, as found on the N95, plus the usual 2MP camera, Bluetooth stereo and MP3 player accoutrements. It loses the i520's Chocolate-esque, touch-sensitive menu keys and, as far as we can tell, still doesn't pack HSDPA or 3G.The 2.3in screen and most other specs seem to stay the same, so we're suspecting this might be a budget model for smartphone bargain hunters. For some reason Samsung's following LG's lead and launching it in Russia first. We're assured supplies will be spreading west 'shortly' thereafter.
