King of skinny, Samsung, has let slip some snaps of a new sliding companion to its less-than-beautiful i600 smartphone. The diminutive i620 has had a silver makeover and will come pre-installed with the Vista-friendly Windows Mobile 6. The new slider design also means it measures a tiny 113x59mm when closed. It keeps the same QWERTY layout as the i600 but gets a cleaner, less cluttered face with what looks like a touch sensitive navigational D-pad.Full details are sketchy but it looks like it’ll also include Wi-Fi, stereo Bluetooth and HSDPA to cover your connectivity needs, a 2MP camera with front mounted VGA snapper for video calls, and also tri-band, suggesting a Euro/Asia exclusive. The Stuff jury’s still out on its looks – black would better match those suits its clearly aimed at – but with those estimated specs it could certainly have some BlackBerries crumbling.EssentialsSamsung i620Price: £TBAOn sale: TBAContact: SamsungRelated stories:HTC preps Windows Mobile ‘iPhone’Curse of the new BlackBerry PearlSony Ericsson’s P1 smartphone – less is more
