They're crafty devils, those folks a Samsung. This i200 may look like an ordinary candybar, but inside lies the beating heart of a smartphone.
A Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone to be precise, and Samsung reckons it's the slimmest you'll find this side of Japan. At a mere 12mm thick it is indeed waif-like, but still manages a seizable 2.3in QVGA screen and a slightly less impressive 2MP cam.
Speedy HSDPA data also gets a look-in, while a much vaunted 'light sensor' sucks as much as possible out of the battery by adjusting the screen and keypad backlight according to how light or dark the outside world is.
A paltry 25MB of on-board memory is topped up by microSD to keep the obligatory media player stoked with standard MP3, WMA and AAC tunes, as well as the more exotic OGG Vorbis for audiophiles.
Catch it in stores as an Orange and The Carphone Warehouse exclusive arriving before May is out. Pricing is being kept tightly under wraps for the mo.
