Samsung Galaxy S III may be revealed at March 22nd event

It might be skipping out MWC, but Sammy's long rumoured super-phone may rear its head next month

We've already received the news that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S III won't be appearing at MWC this year, but our spirits have tentatively lifted at unwiredview's reports of a March 22nd Samsung event in France.

The Samsung Galaxy S III has a rumour mill nearly equalling that of the Apple iPhone 5 and is expected to appear on stage featuring a svelte 7mm thin body, an Exynos quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and an 12MP or 8MP camera.

With a spec sheet like that it's not hard to see why the Samsung Galaxy S III is at the top of many a gadgeteer's smartphone menu.
