Samsung Galaxy Extreme Xcover coming to Clove next week

Samsung's rugged new smartie is tougher than your average smartphone – and it's up for grabs next week

If your clumsy nature means you don't trust yourself with an iPhone or an equally premium smartie like the Galaxy S II, you'll be pleased to know Samsung's hard-as-nails Galaxy Extreme Xcover will be winging its way to Clove next week.

Bringing smartphone power to those who usually sacrifice features for resilience, the Galaxy Extreme Xcover is of the Android 2.3 Gingerbread variety and sports a 3.65in HVGA screen – just like the iPhone 3GS-baiting Galaxy Ace announced yesterday.

Its butterfinger-proof ruggedised overcoat is iP67 certified, which makes it scratch, dust and water resistant and tough enough to withstand the occasional bump and general wear and tear. The Galaxy Extreme Xcover can also bear up to being submerged in up to a metre of water for up to 30 minutes.

If you like the sound of a phone that can take a beating, you need only hold out until January 9 to nab your tough smartphone companion for £227. Don't want to wait that long? Head on over to Clove now and get your pre-order in.
