It seems no major league tech player can keep itself out of the fight for netbook supremacy. Just a day after Toshiba made their already leaked NB100 official, Samsung has finally given its version a name, the NC10.

Unlike Tosh's effort, this is a 10.2in model in the mould of the MSI Wind and LG X110. It's got everything we've come to expect from these micro machines – namely an Intel Atom processor, Windows XP, Bluetooth, a massive 160GB of storage and a 6 cell battery for extra long life.

In addition, punters plumping for the Sammy version will also get an anti–bacterial keyboard, so no nasty MRSA here. Fresh n' clean, eh?

And the cost? £329 when it arrives here at the rear end of next month. That's a fair bit more than the Tosh model, which will only cost £260.
