Rumour Mill – Honeycomb tablets will all be dual-core

Non-Apple tablets and dual-core mobile gadgets meet up in rumoursville

Now the two have met in a credible rumour from PC Magazine that suggests all Honeycomb tablets will need to meet a minimum spec that includes a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor (as seen in the Tegra 2).

It’s good news for punters who want a bit more welly from their flat-tops, but there could be early adopter tears from first-gen Galaxy Tab owners. On the plus side, the Galaxy Tab 2 looks likely to have Tegra 2 under the hood, though it will probably be beaten to the punch by Motorola’s tablet – the Honeycomb debutante is expected to launch this week at CES.
