Romain Jerome launches Space Invaders watch

Old-school gaming meets high-end horology – kitsch or calamity?

Romain Jerome may have just redeemed itself. Having been responsible for some crimes against horology – see the Titanic DNA and Moon DNA watches – it's finally created a timepiece we want.

Romain Jerome has teamed up with Taito to produce a pair of Space Invaders watches, limited to 78 pieces each in commemoration of the game's 1978 launch.

The only difference between the two editions is that one features the pixellated ETs in glowing white, while the other goes colour. Both have the same distinctive 46mm PVD-coated case, inspired by a lunar landing module.

As usual with RJ, cost isn't spoken about – if you need to ask, you can't afford.
