Like an extended episode of The Price Is Right, the cost of the long-announced RS Media has remained hidden all year. Now revealed at £300, it's clear that the new man on the block is packing a little more than his humanoid and reptilian forebears.
For those who haven't met him, RSM is the next evolution of the Robosapien line, with better moves and far more programmable features.
In something equivalent to a robo frontal lobotomy, you can change the little fella's personality via USB link and program your own moves. And, rather than sounding like the love child of Joanna Lumley and Stephen Hawking, RS Media can be installed with your own voice – for that mini-me effect.
Party pieces abound, including the ability to play MP3 files and videos, thanks to an LCD display in his chest, and speakers plus mega subwoofer hidden beneath his grey and orange armour. Built-in sensors mean he can also happily roam around on his own.
At that not inconsequential price tag, Robosapien is clearly evolving from its toy beginnings. We'll give you a full run down of just how advanced RS Media is when we get our mitts on one shortly.
