Digicam manuals can be scary places for beginners – if mere talk of white balance and exposure has you reaching for the Valium, Ricoh may have just the camera for you.

The RR660 prides itself on its user-friendliness with a small menu of shooting options – including night and sports modes – and a decent 2.4in LCD to help you frame the shots.

It’s not a complete simpleton – it’ll take reasonably large 6MP snaps, has a standard 3x optical zoom and, like any self-respecting digicam today, sports a 320x240 pixel video mode, which can shoot at 20fps.

As you’d expect the fairly measly 16MB internal memory can be boosted via the SD card slot, while the whole package weighs a barely-there 130g.

The best news, though, is that each of those grams only costs £1, which is a rather convoluted way of saying that the RR660’s tag is £130. Interested? It’ll be available from July. Check out Ricoh’s site for more info.
